Every pupil's progress, with the details that matter.

A name in the diary is only part of the picture. Keep the pupil's next lesson, previous lessons, progress and agreed arrangements together, ready when you need them.

Bring your existing pupils with you

Start with the pupils you already teach. Add their details and invite them to connect, or share your instructor code for them to enter in their learner account. Review the connection request before accepting it. A connected account helps pupils see their own lessons and progress, while you can still use FirstDrive to manage pupils who do not use the app.

Keep agreed prices with the pupil

Set lesson rates and lesson packages, then keep a pupil's own arrangements with their record. This matters when an existing pupil has a different rate from somebody joining today. Record money received and see how it relates to lessons or package credit. These are records of your teaching business; pupils pay you using the method you agree with them.

Build a useful picture of progress

Keep lesson notes with the lesson they describe, and record progress across the driving syllabus. A 0–5 scale gives you a consistent way to note how independently a pupil can perform a skill. Review it before the next lesson to pick a useful focus. Progress is a teaching record, not a prediction or guarantee of a test result.

Set things up on the web, update them on mobile

Use the wider web workspace to review pupil arrangements and plan regular lessons. During the teaching day, use the mobile app for the quick details: checking the next lesson, updating notes, recording a payment or finding a message. Keeping that context together means less time reconstructing what happened from separate chats and notebooks.
